By accessing or using EmpowerU CollegeMatch, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of a student, family, school, or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
2. Educational planning only
CollegeMatch provides college search, organization, and planning tools. The service does not guarantee admission, scholarship awards, financial aid outcomes, visa decisions, or school eligibility. You are responsible for confirming deadlines, requirements, costs, and policies directly with each college or official source.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. Students under the age of majority should use the service with involvement from a parent, guardian, school, counselor, or other authorized adult where required by law or school policy.
4. User content
You retain ownership of profile information, notes, tasks, documents, messages, and other content you submit. You grant EmpowerU permission to use that content to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not submit unlawful, misleading, harmful, or infringing content.
- Do not attempt to access accounts, data, APIs, or systems without authorization.
- Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use CollegeMatch to make automated decisions that legally or materially affect a person without appropriate human review.
6. Third-party information and services
College data, calendars, payment processing, email delivery, AI features, and other integrations may rely on third-party sources or providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy practices may apply separately.
7. Paid features
If paid features are offered, prices, credits, renewals, cancellation terms, and refund rules will be shown at purchase or in the billing area. You authorize us and our payment providers to process applicable charges and taxes.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We may also update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EmpowerU disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, data, revenue, or profits.
